10 not to do things in IELTS Speaking Interview

10 not to do things in IELTS Speaking Interview

Hello friends, Welcome to The English Hunt, Today we are going to discuss 10 things that you are  to avoid while taking IELTS Speaking Interview. I have found that students are not aware of the things they should not do. If you avoid these ten things you are expected to score higher in the Speaking Interview.

1.    Don’t memorize the answers

In my IELTS Couching centers students are given notes to help them prepare for Speaking Module. Students think that if they prepare these notes they can easily get desired score. But they don’t know that memorization of answers is not enough they are required to speak naturally. Try to learning speaking naturally.

2.    Don’t use big and confusing words

Undoubtedly vocabulary plays a significant role to get you desired score. Uncommon words can help you express your ideas in interesting ways. But if you don’t understand the story behind the words it may lead to confusion. Don’t use any word, term or jargon that may confuse the interviewer.

3.    Don’t worry about your accent
There are students who try to speaking like native speakers. They use american, Britisher and Australian accent to impress the interview. This may lead to penalty if you don’t use accent well. It is better not to speak any accent. Just speak who you are. Don’t try to be someone else.

4.    Don’t be short
I have found that some students don’t explain things well. Their answers are short and giving the details. Try to explain things well.
Try to make your answer bit longer than one or two lines.

5.    Don’t worry about what the interview thinks

Weather you perform good or bad the opinions of examiners don’t matter there. Don’t think if it. You have to perform at your best.

6.    Don’t rely on the examiner

He is there to interview you. He is not there to tell you what you said is wrong or right. Don’t expect any help from the examiner.

7.    Don’t get late
Many students reach the interview on the time or get late. If you get late you may not be allowed to take the interview. Try to reach early and meet with the students already gone through the interview.

8.    Don’t get nervous

If you don’t know anything, please don’t panic, try to speak what you  know rather than staying mute.

9.    Don’t show off your linguistic skills than fluency.

You are there to speak not to show off your grammar and other linguistic skills. Try to speak fluently.

10.         Don’t be over confident

I have seen that some students are over confident and they forget the importance of interview than other thing. Try to perform as better as you can.

3 Common Mistakes keep students from scoring High in IELTS Examiation

Hello IELTS Aspirants, The English Hunt hopes that you are doing great and getting well with your IELTS preparation.
In this post we are going to talk about how you can better prepare for this popular exam. What we have noticed that a majority of students from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Srilanka and other asian countries are intimidated. They think that IELTS exam is very tough it will take approximately one year to get desired score. They make some corrigible mistakes when they step up to prepare.
We would here talk about three common mistakes that IELTS aspirants commit which hinder them of score high bands in all  four modules.

1.    Direct Approach to IELTS

There are many students directly join IELTS classes without assessing their English level. When they start preparing four modules they often face difficuties. Because they don’t understand English in proper manner. Many students learn to communicate in English in IELTS class. This makes the process lengty and boring . There are words, grammatical terms and sentence structures which are very difficult to understand in first attempt.
It is suggested that students must take English classes before enrollig in IELTS.

2.    General Awareness

I have taught some students those who don’t know their surroundings. They are not aware of the issues that they should know.  We often come accros topics related to society, education, technology, environment and so on. They don’t have ideas to speak for a minute. They struggle to speak or write a meaningful sentence.
It is better to get general informatio about latest gadgets, technology, updates, politcal, economical, social and international issues.

3.    Following the process

There are four modules of IELTS and almost every student follows these. It is good. In couching centers the trainers instruct students to do all the modules every day. They don’t assess spot they progress of students. Even students don’t talk about their challenges to the trainers.
We suggest that students should evaluate their level of preparation themselves. If they find module hard they must go extra mile to improve it.

Recently one of my friends Mr. Gurdita Singh has started Tour and Travel Business in our home town. The guy is well trained and he has got the experience of the field by working with a reputed international company.
He books air tickets, arranges Tour plans and hotel bookings for his customers. He seems to have planned everything very well and going to execute them perfectly. It’s been 4 months to his business and has started making profits. He has tie-ups with other international tour and travel companies which need services and facilities locally. IELTS Speaking Part: 2 :Describe a skill that you leaned in your school and college time.

Dear IELTS Aspirants, in this post we are going to cover a cue card that has recently appeared.  The students can have some important ideas from this post.

Describe a skill that you leaned in your school and college time.

You should say:-
What it is
How you Learnt it.
Why you learnt it.

And explain how useful this skill is for you.

Model Answer:-

Acquiring skills is very significant to live good and influential life. Schools and colleges are the best platform for young boys and girls to get acquainted with the world and hone exciting skills and go for more.

I learned some very useful skills like other students like speaking English, doing math, drawing and so on. The skill which I learnt and, has been a great source of appreciation is public speaking. Speaking on stage or hosting any event in school seems to be very challenging. Like other students I was afraid of speaking to the group or host any event. But deep down in my heart there was an urge to speak to people. I just had to overcome my fear of being laughed at.

When I was in 11th standard a new teacher joined our school to teach us English. He was a great orator. He wanted his students to be good communicators. He would often deliver speeches on different topics to inspire us about life and education. Since then I got more interested in public speaking with the help of my teacher I started delivering short speeches to my classmates. Later I would tell stories of history and share thoughts on various issues.
After couple of months I was at ease to communicate and host any event. I even hosted the stage on the occasion of Independence day and other sports events.

I took part in speeches competitions and managed to get 1st prize once and 2nd prize twice. This skill made me confident to speak frankly and aware people around important things. people of my town praise me for my oratory. I often give speeches on different topics,

Study in United Kingdom, Without IELTS and High Visa Approval Rate
